Mullagh More- situated near the eastern border of the Burren, is one of the most impressive landmarks in the Burren. The mountain is a magnificent swirl of contorted limestone. The rocks of Mullaghmore consist of carboniferous limestone, a sedimentary rock that was laid down under the sea 350 million years ago.
The Burren National Park has laid out three well marked trail of about 2 - 2.5 hrs walking time. THe trails are marked with Green, Red and Blue markers.The walks are not that difficult and offer spectacular views across Clare and that part of the Burren.Trail information is provided on the trail board at the start of the routes. The trails are not boggy but you will need strong footwear.

To access the trails take the R476 from Corofin to Kilnaboy. Turn right at the school and old church. Follow the roafd for 3 miles. Pass parking layby with noticeboard on right; in 100m, right. After half a mile, park by yellow ‘walking man’ waymark and Burren National Park noticeboard on left.
