We have been looking after guests and creating great experiences here in Doolin for over twenty years. Doolin-born Darra learned hospitality in one of Doolin’s first farmhouse bed and breakfasts, which her parents opened on their farm in the 1970s. Darra has always had a close link with the farm and as a child she would rise early to bring the cows in for milking and collect freshly-laid eggs for her mother’s guests, a tradition that is still carried on today.
Niall first came to Doolin from Tipperary in his twenties and fell in love with the place, the people, the music, the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands. Two years later he fell in love again and married Darra right here in Doolin Village. In the Irish tradition, Darra’s father gifted a plot of land to the newlyweds where their dream of Sea View House was realised and their house was built to take advantage of the outstanding views from deck and terraces overlooking the Aille River and the Atlantic Ocean. Sea View House has evolved from an award winning Bed and Breakfast to the collection of Luxury Lodges that welcome you today. Not only is Niall a keen cook and gardener, he’s also an accomplished horseman and carries on the tradition of the family farm where Darra’s grandfather kept Irish Draught and thoroughbred stallions.
